| In the modern society we have encountered a lot of tragedy and catastrophe. These events are unstoppable the reason why we should keep the faith within us so that we can have courage to handle those things. Well, I think every year there is prediction that may happen in a certain place. Those are only guide. But we are still the one holding our own future. So just strengthen your spiritual faith. |

Your personal world is guaranteed to end within 125 years of your birth. In all likelihood it will be within 100 or 80 years.Is there a difference for if the end of the world is personal (ie: just your own death) or complete (ie: implosion of the earth and death of everyone)? Why do you all fret about "natural disasters" so much. They are NATURAL you know. Just as DEATH is natural! |
| If we would think about the end of the world then surely we are to scare ourselves out. Try to let go of the bad thoughts that we are having. The end of days are far from happening. For now let us focus on what we need to do to have a much better world to live at. Try to think of the positive side of everything and work for it. |
| As Jerrel said natural disasters are as natural as death. As people are preparing for disasters where a volcano eruption or earthquake is predicted as much as they could, people should also prepare themselves for death as it may happen any time. Where the soul of the person would go after this life is the concern of the Bible. Would you go to heaven or hell? |
| I wonder if these predictions have scientific basis or were they just based on a clairvoyant's fortune-telling. Anyway, whether they will come true or not, there is nothing we can do to stop such natural disasters from happening. We can only pray for God to stop them from happening or to spare us from being affected by them. The government of those affected countries should have a concrete natural disaster plan to minimize damage. |
| That is very true Frances, there are indeed nothing we can do with natural disasters as they are to occur in times unexpected. But there are some rumors spreading about an occurrence of another major earthquake that would took place sometime in the future to hit Chile. I have read about this on newspapers and I think we should take action as to be prepared on what will happen. Good day. |

| Hi there! Natural problems are the long and tradgic illness the Earth has.. Volcanic eruption, flooding, forest fires, tsunami etc.. are the examples of how limited the cognition of human beings are. The only armor we have right now is our power to pray.. | In the world, we don't exactly know what may happen next or tomorrow. Hence it is really important to prepare ourselves and face the challenges in life. There are a lot of predictions in the world saying that will lose many people. On the other hand, I believe that if we become firm to our faith we will be guided to the right path and away from any danger. |
| I have to agree. As long as we know that there is God that is guiding us and we have all our faith in him, then nothing will be impossible. Even those tragic disasters, we can surely survive them all. That is if we choose to put our trust and faith towards Him. | There are things in we fail to understand. Certain phenomena are surprisingly devastated many properties and lives that we never imagine to happen. As time goes by, the people are now recommended to give there part in knowing the things that they can actually in times of trouble When they feel no hope at all, they should always stick to the last weapon they have, it is God above. |
| I have to agree with Cecille here. No matter what tragic events to ever come our way, we can surely get through those if we just believe that He is there to save us. And yes, there would be times when we might feel like We are being forgotten for reasons. But at the end of the day, whom we are to cling to when these sort of tragedies and problems arises? |
| Things happen for a reason. And we all have reason for taking every step or acting in a particular situation. Challenges and obstacles in life are just to test how strong you are. But the most important thing is your strength to face these challenges through prayers. Lift up your spirit by finding solution which will be fair not for yourself alone but also for other people around you. |
| Earthquake indeed hit New Zealand big time and Japan all throughout the year. The pacific ring of fire where these countries are seated are earthquake prone areas and if you live here the swaying and the rumbling can be just like rain in the US. if the psychics believed that they can predict earthquakes and natural calamities, well maybe, because when they meditate they usually communicate with nature. that would be possible I think. |
| Alaska is definitely a great place. It has lots o beautiful tourist spots and travel destinations that can satisfy the stay of the tourists and so as its people. Despite all the calamities that are happening in our nations. I really hope that we can still preserve the beauty of our home land. Predictions of the calamities that would happen should really be observed by the people so that they can prepare for the preventive measures that they will do in case of emergencies. |

| I think the biggest reason that people fear these happenings, besides a natural fear of death and what comes after, is that they fear for their children. We all like to believe that our children will live on after us and continue to grow and prosper, so the idea of harm or suffering coming to them is much worse than just thinking about one's own death. Surely we all know we are going to die, but perhaps we fear for others' death. |
| That is true Mel. I cannot imagine my kids suffering and dying before my very eye. And right now, I am not that prepared of dying. For I can never afford to leave my kids alone in this world. They still need me and they need someone to look after them. And I still need to prepare them for their future. That is why I do fear dying at this moment. |
