That Tornado photo is truly awesome. However, I don't think I would be brave enough as the two bystanders who sat there watching the tornado come closer and closer. It's too scary for me.

The photo was really well taken. It captured the major view of the tornado in the place.

On the other hand, people must be cautious enough when tornado attacks the area or else they will be affected. Utah also experiences Tornado at times, so it is important to check the weather update before you leave for certain outdoor activities. In that way, you will be away from any harm.

Hi in there. I am in need for some good tips and suggestions as to where I can find out more about the weather conditions in Utah. We are planning to have a trip in there and I want to really have lots of good time while enjoying the sun. It would be a lot of help to hear from all of you guys. Thanks a lot and good day to all.

Wow! Look at that! I have never seen a real tornado my whole life, and I don't intend to see one, either. I think that the two persons sitting on the gutter seems not frightened. If I were on their pert, I would have run for my life.

Thank you so much and have a great day to all!

This photo is really cool! Would you imagine these two people sitting by the street while tornado is hitting nearby. I think this is really scary. Tornadoes are really destructive and maybe if I were on that place, maybe I have already fainted of scare.

Thank you so much and have a great day to all!

Hi there!

This photo left me wowed! I can't believe my eyes while looking at the picture. I am living here in Utah and I have seen a tornado once. It was really scary and I almost panicked. I agree with Marynor, that we really have to be very careful about these calamities. They are really scary.

Thank you so much and have a great day to all!

That is true. Calamities are unpredictable and so we should be prepared at all times. I think it is important that we do make ourselves equipped with the proper knowledge on how to survive in such calamities. It is much better to know something than be sorry in the end. All of you have good points. Anyway, thanks for sharing all of those information in here. Have a wonderful day ahead to all. Ciao.

The photo was captured amazingly. But the two bystanders struck me the most because of the bravery that they posses while watching the raging tornado in a distance. In cases like this, people should immediately look for a safer place to stay because the tornado can change direction unexpectedly. Strong tornado possesses strong winds that could create great impact on their surroundings. For me, it was a great risk for capturing this kind of scene.

Capturing the scene is very challenging. I'm amaze of how the photographer captured the image beautifully despite the threat of strong tornado. I believe that being a good photographer possess certain skill and passion towards work. They are brave enough to take picture of different scenarios even if it's dangerous.

I'm currently working on my skills in photography. I bought new digital camera to practice more. I love capturing nature images.

I haven't experienced tornado in my entire life yet. I am just thankful that my place has been free from this natural disaster. I think we should really be prepared always because we don't exactly know when a natural disaster may occur. Let's learn a big lesson from the strong earthquake and tsunami happened in Japan. It destroyed almost everything. Hence, we should be concern enough to our environment.

Hi there,

It is a little scary to have this tragedy. I hope others would not be very devastated about how massive the destruction was. I really love to be in that place and render what help I can have. I am really into charitable woks right now, and I hope, I can help really.

Thank you so much to all of you guys and have a great day to all.

The most dramatic force of nature to me is seeing a tornado in action. It's like a wrathful finger reaching from the sky to destroy everything in it's path.

I have seen the tragic event that happen in Utah and it is clear to me how great it was. I saw it in online sites and it was really devastating. I really want to help the people that are affected and I want as well to inform the people of how much destruction it gave to Utah for having that matter. I really want to gave my part on that.

The photo itself is a great photo. It amazing to me that people chase after these beast to get such a photo. The amount of damage that these storms cause is reason enough for me to run for cover if I know one is coming. It seems that we here more and more of towns being wiped out in a few minute by a tornado. Not a photo op I will be looking for any time.

Wow, that is a truly amazing picture. Are tornadoes very common in the state of Utah? I hadnt really associated tornadoes with that area in the US before, but I guess you learn something new every day. That is an incredible shot. You said it is for national geographic magazine? Was there a lot of damaged property because of this tornado? Is it a big thing there in Utah? ld

We can already see a lot of cases about natural disaster occurring in some places. It is really terrible to be in this situation because natural disasters surely cause a great destruction in the surroundings.

Hence, it is important to keep updated of the weather report so that you are aware when the right time for vacation is. At times, it also depends how we take good care of our environment.

Are tornadoes normal and are always visiting Utah? I must admit that I hate tornadoes and I am scared of thinking of them destroying everything that they land upon. And seeing some photos of tornadoes, they all scares me, a lot.

By the way, how about the overall weather situation in Utah, when would be the best time to visit the place? I would love to have a visit there soon.

It is amazing how something so destructive can look so majestic when captured on a camera. There is something so very beautiful in the power of a tornado, though I am not sure anyone who has been through one or lost loved ones from one will share my views. I really wish people would not call them acts of God, however, insiuating that God is doing the destruction from these storms.

How is it that National Geographic photographers manage to get such amazing shots in all of their issues? What is the difference between these photographers and the rest, really? Every issue of National Geographic is filled with amazing photography, this magazine must really invest a lot of money and time and effort into getting this high quality graphics in their issues. I would love to know the secret behind their work.

I think that National Geographic hires freelancers, or purchases work from certain freelancers or free lance companies. I really doubt that they have on pay roll a bunch of photographers, though I am sure they have a few which they send with their experienced journalists when they go for a story. Most of their most famous photographs seem to be from freelancers, however, which is a good deal for a lot of freelance photographers.

Have to agree with Mel here. I think National Geographic pays for those photos from freelancers. And it is great for those who finds photography as more than just a hobby, something that can bring some extra cash in.

And in the end, those people surely have lots of great time exploring, taking pictures and selling some in well known magazines, such that of National Geographic. No doubt how lovely most photos in the magazine were.
