| I think it is quite reasonable for those physically demanding labor to increase the retirement rate for older workers. We all know that retirement is a very important thing in man's life in order to acquire enough benefits. Well, I think older workers are still capable to work in accordance to their job, so that at least they can get higher benefits from their company. In the end, you can fulfill retirement. |
| Retirement is an important aspect of life when you try to save as much as money you can so that you can lead peaceful life after a hard amount of work. It’s true that as we become older; we get physically tired to do work which require more labour. Hence some of us quit such work at an early stage. I believe if such thing happen you should be prepared for it in the future itself. |
| It's good that retirement age is older in the United States. This gives senior citizens opportunities to work and still earn their keep even in their old age. That's not the case here in the Philippines. Our mandatory retirement age may be 55 or 60 but a lot of companies don't hire applicants older than 28 unless if they are highly specialized or experts in that field. Isn't that discriminating? |
| It sounds really great that the retirement age there in United States becomes older. It is a good privilege to everyone. I hope our retirement ages here in the Philippines will also get older so that many people especially those senior citizens who are still willing to work will be given this good opportunity. | Is it good to retire in Washington? Considering the huge amount of money that I need to have to be able to stay in such place, is it still worth the try? Money is not a problem because I will have regular income coming from a business that I just had. But the convenience of staying in there is one thing that I am concerned about. | If you have the money that could sustain your stay in Washington then why not stay there? If you are financially capable on staying in a place like that, they why not try it? You better ask yourself on where you would really want to live. There are some other places that you might want to consider. The decision would all depend on what you really want and where you want to stay. |
| Retirement is something that most people are looking forward to because of the benefit that they will get after a long journey of hard work. It is part of one person's fulfillment to enjoy its retirement stage. For me, I believe that it is proper to reduce the retirement age for physically demanding labor jobs. I think that the workers are less capable of handling strenuous work; nonetheless, it will also be disadvantageous in the part of the company. The workers had already proven their loyalty and commitment, so it is time for them to acquire the fruit of their hard work. |
| Hard work is a key for a successful life. I believe that the old workers had done enough to fulfill their duty. For me, physically demanding labor is not a good idea to pursue if you're in an old age. You'll just suffer more and get stressful. You can have your retirement and enjoy the benefits from it. I'm not forcing you to stop, if you think you can still work then do it. I just want you to live life to the fullest and do other things that you want. |
| Benefits acquired by workers and even until they get retired vary from one place to another. It also depends on the company you belong. But I think older workers have great advantage when they reach the retirement age because they are secured whatever may happen after they stop working in the company. But, of course it requires them to process the documents completely before they can avail the services and benefits. |

| it is quite interesting that many sectors now are concern with the benefits that old people working in a high labor demanding jobs . Well, it is quite reasonable though the company will really make a great change of it. Giving a great incentives to people in this area would really be glad to hear this news. | I have seen people crumble when they retire. Humans are creatures of habit, we can become accustomed to anything and then actually miss it when it ends. When you have had a job for a number of years, with a time schedule, relationships with superiors and co-workers, and then all of a sudden it ends. That´s quite a trauma! My grandfather had a milk farm and the family made him sell it because he was old. He lasted six months after that when he was supposed to be "resting". Cheers! |

| I really want to know the retirement that is being tackled in this area. I am from the Philippines and the retirement I am talking about is for my grand father who was a retire army soldier and he is still has this problem with regards to the benefits he have. | Today we should not simply depend on the benefits that we can get after retirement. We should try to work harder as long as we have an active physical health though. There are still old workers who have a very good record in their job for working physically demanding labor. In this case, they get higher benefits according to the length of their service at work.
